Just in time for Halloween, health officials announced another bacterial outbreak linked to produce. This time its salmonella and 172 people in 18 states have been sickened. Officials haven’t pinpointed the exact culprit yet, but tomatoes are on the short list.
According to CDC the following states reported cases: Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Virgina, Vermont and Wisconsin.
