Reposted from the Consumer Reports Safety Blog: Beef Packers, a California meatpacking firm, is recalling more than 826,000 pounds of ground beef that has been linked to an outbreak of antibiotic-resistant Salmonella, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service. The outbreak has sickened people in nine Western states.
